Shortly after that move, Mary met Gordon Petersen, and the two were married in 1957. After Gordon’s passing in 1986, Mary was fortunate to find love again with Edwin Switzer; they were married in 1997. She often counted herself blessed to have had two wonderful husbands—both dearly loved, and both deeply loving in return.
For many years, Mary took pride in her work as a bus driver for SEDOM, a role she enjoyed and carried out with steady dedication.
Mary will be greatly missed by her daughter, Marti K. Petersen; her step-son, Chad Switzer; and her grandchildren, Carina Switzer, Callie Switzer, and Olivia Switzer.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her two loving husbands; her four brother and three sisters.
