Rita G. Reber

Rita G. Reber, 73, of Marengo passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Centegra Hospital – McHenry. She was born September 29, 1941 in Aurora, daughter of Carl and Doris Riemenschneider. She married Dennis Reber on October 8, 1960. She retired from Warner Electric Human Resources Dept. Rita enjoyed reading, cross stitch, puzzles and was active with the Cancer Society participating in the Relay for Life.

She is survived by her sister Naomi (James) McCarty; brother Bruce (Cathy) Riemenschneider; daughters: Janet Prew, Karen Difford, Linda (Derril) Hogan; grandchildren: Justin Prew, Heather Garbe, Rachel Garbe, Melissa Garbe, Cassandra Hogan and Mitchell Hogan; nieces: Renee (Frank) Gonzales, Sarah (Brian) Quezada; great- nephew Frank Gonzales IV, great-niece Alyssa Gonzales; and a new special friend.

She is predeceased by her parents Doris & Carl Riemenschneider and her husband of 45 years Dennis Reber.

Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, January 10 at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St, Marengo. A memorial service will be at Noon. Online condolences visit www.marengo-unionfuneralhome.com
