Laurentia M Beukers

Laurentia (Suijkerland) Beukers “Laura”, 79, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on October 17, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Alida and Gerard Suijkerland. Laura was born in Holland and came to Albany, New York in 1957. She then moved to Coconut Creek, FL 1979, after a brief residence in Miami, FL. Laura was a longtime parishioner of the former Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Albany, NY and St. Vincent Catholic Church in Margate, FL.

Laura’s greatest love was her family. She also loved to travel back to Holland to visit her family there. She was a strong, proud woman who fought very hard to overcome many health issues over the past 12 years. She faced her latest challenge this past year with strong courage and her faith.

Predeceased by her 2 loving brothers, Ben Suijkerland and Anton Suijkerland.

Laura is survived by her beloved husband Henry F. Beukers, survived by sister Riet v.d. Drift, Ali Verbraken and brother Gerard Suijkerland, Ruud Suijkerland and Theo Suijkerland. Mother of Ronald (Tiffany) Beukers of Davie, FL, Michael Beukers (Suzette DeFruscio)of Coconut Creek, FL and Patricia (Ben) Petrone of W. Sand Lake, NY. Beloved Oma to her grandchildren, Ronald Beukers, Jr., Nicolaas Beukers, Morgan Beukers, Ryan Beukers, Christopher Petrone, Kyle Petrone, Robert Petrone and great grandson Hayden Beukers. The Beukers family would like to give THANKS to Hospice by the Sea who provided such great care to Laura.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 @ 10am @ St. Vincent Catholic Church 6350 Northwest 18th Street Margate, FL 33063
