

Esperanza was born in Banes, Cuba on Jan. 9,1917. She, and her sisters, were educated in private Catholic schools in the United States. She met and married Ceasar Rodriguez in New York City in 1942.They lived in Long Island, NY, moved to Haworth, NJ., and retired in Palm Harbor, FL. In 1959, Esperanza became a U.S. citizen, and was very proud and honored to become a citizen of the United States. She was cherished and loved by both friends and family, and will always be remembered as a lovely, kind, and "special" lady. She will be greatly missed, and is at peace in "God's Loving Arms". Her family would like to thank Esperanza’s friends, and the friends of the family for their support during this difficult time. Thank you - we are also at peace.
Esperanza was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, and is survived by her three children: son Cesar Rodriguez and Janis Rodriguez, St. Simons Island, GA.; daughters Elena Carter, Marietta, GA.; and Margarita Rodriguez, Acworth, GA. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Christy Cohen and Ben, Easton, PA.; Kimsey Rodriguez, New Orleans, LA.; and Denning Rodriguez, NYC, NY; and by her two great grandchildren: Alexandria Cohen, and Harper Cohen, Easton, PA.
A Memorial Mass, celebrating her life, will be held on June 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, GA at 10:00 AM. Following the Mass, Esperanza's ashes will be buried with her husband's at Kennesaw Memorial Park at 1306 Whitlock Ave., Marietta, GA 30064.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass in Esperanza Rodriguez's name.
