

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. John Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Mr. Smith was the first child of Loutis and Hugh Smith and was born in Lafayette Springs, Mississippi. His family relocated to Georgia in 1951 where in high school he met his future wife, Ann Reagh, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Mr. Smith served in the Army National Guard and worked in Manufacturing at Lockheed for 35 years working mainly the C-130 but also JetStar, C-141, and C-5. His joy was his family, his garden, fishing, his dog and cat and "piddling" in his workshop. He was of Baptist faith and had a relationship with both Piedmont and Sandy Plains Baptist churches.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Smith of Marietta; two sons, Hollis Hugh Smith, Jr. of Marietta, Wayne Reagh Smith of Woodstock; five grandchildren, Kerri Turner, Jason Smith, Dr. Nathan Smith, Alex Smith, and Neil Reagh Smith; four great grandchildren, Kaleb, Aidan, Kayla, and Ross; one great-great granddaughter, Alana; two brothers, Rubble Smith and Eugene Smith; three sisters, Dorthy Stein, Alice Surber, and Ruth Phelps; brother in law, W. L. Reagh.
