Kathleen H. Ricketts

June 17, 1942 – July 16, 2013

Mrs. Kathleen H. Ricketts, age 71, of Canton, GA, passed peacefully at home Tuesday, July 16, 2013. The funeral service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 20th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. Interment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Ricketts was a native of Lawrenceville, GA. She graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in 1960 and married the love of her life, Carroll M. (Bud) Ricketts on June 5, 1960. Mrs. Ricketts owned and operated several retail businesses. She was a member of County Line Methodist Church. Mrs. Ricketts was also an honorary member of Oakdale Baptist Church Ladies Circle. She was known for her extravagant love of family, friends and Christmas. We will all miss her chicken croquets, pimento cheese and famous “Kathy’s” fudge. Mrs. Ricketts was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll M. (Bud) Ricketts.

Survivors include her children, Melissa Ricketts Attridge and spouse, William H. Attridge, Jr. of Marietta; Greg Ricketts and spouse, Holly Westbrook Ricketts of Canton; Jeff Ricketts and spouse, Annette Roberts Ricketts of Marietta; Christopher Ricketts of Canton; grandchildren, Taylor Ricketts, Zack Ricketts, Deidra Ricketts, Jebb Ricketts, Will Attridge, T. J. Godwin; sister, Dean Bennett and spouse, John Bennett; brother, Clyde Hayes and spouse, Elaine Hayes and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Kathleen H. Ricketts’ memory to the Cancer Foundation
