Kathy Jan Duncan Barnett, 65 of Cartersville, formerly of Marietta, passed away on August 10, 2024 after a long illness. She was a 1977 graduate of Wills High School and a longtime school bus driver for Cobb County schools. She retired from Bartow County schools. Jan was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Mandy Barnett Vaughn (Larry) of Cartersville, her son, Chad Barnett of Marietta and her brother, Steve Duncan. She was so proud of her grandchildren, Carter Vaughn, Emme and Presley Barnett. She is also survived by many cousins. Jan was predeceased by her husband, Larry Barnett. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the Historic Chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
