Sarah Annette Gibson

Mrs. Gibson was born July 12, 1949, in Marietta, GA., the daughter of Jack and Ruby (Smallwood) Givens. She grew up in Georgia and graduated from Sprayberry High School with the class of 1967. She and Jim were high school sweethearts.

She married Jum Gibson Jr. in 1968 and later attended college. They lived first in Acworth, GA. and then Lingle, WY. where they owned and operated Lingle Valley Hardware. They moved back to Canton, Georgia in 1987 and lived there until 2009 when they returned to LIngle, WY.

Annette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a beautiful singing voice and a musical laugh. She played the dulcimer as well as the piano. She is remembered for her kind heart, her love of laughter, and her dedication to family. She is also very much remembered for the special relationship she shared with her husband Jim Gibson, Jr. Theirs is a special bond that transcends even death.

Annette is survived by her husband Jim Gibson of Lingle, WY.; daughters Angie Gibson and Jennifer Gibson both of Canton, GA.; son Jimmy Gibson of Jasper, GA.; grandchildren Jackson, Lee, Justin, Gus and Alex; great-grandchildren Annzlee and Piper; and siblings Betty Chapman, Donnie Givens, Jack Givens and Jerrie Lockett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lewis and Mayes.
