Uchenna Cyprian “Chuck” Nwagwu, of Atlanta, Georgia, completed his earthly journey on December 3, 2025. Though his departure leaves a deep and tender space in the hearts of those who love him, his life remains a beautiful testament to class, warmth, and unwavering devotion.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Chuck was the cherished son of Chief Dr. Cyprian Emeka Nwagwu and Lolo Bernadette Nwagwu. He proudly hailed from Okrikama, Umuokrika in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria—his beloved ancestral home and the source of his rich cultural identity. Chuck shared a special and unbreakable bond with his twin brother, Bernard Uzoma Nwagwu, and was a treasured brother to Ada Nwagwu-Kelly and Crystal Nwagwu-Udeh.
Chuck built a meaningful and impactful career as a Human Resources consultant, lending his expertise to numerous healthcare institutions. Known for his thoughtful approach, calm presence, and steady professionalism, he made every workplace better simply by being himself.
But the heart of Chuck’s life was not found in titles or achievements—it was found in the joy he carried and the joy he shared. He loved to travel, gather with family and friends, enjoy good conversations, celebrate milestones, and cheer passionately in the world of sports, especially basketball. His easygoing nature, respectful spirit, and genuine care for others made him a pleasure to be around and a blessing to all who encountered him.
Most of all, Chuck’s greatest and most beautiful accomplishment was being a father. He leaves behind his beloved children—Morgan (24), Carrington (10), and Jackson (3)—who were the center of his world. He celebrated them, protected them, showed up for them, and loved them beyond measure. His devotion as a father was radiant and unmistakable, and it remains one of the brightest parts of his legacy.
Chuck lived with kindness, purpose, and quiet strength. His life was full, his love was deep, and his presence was a gift. Those who knew him will remember his gentle laughter, his steady encouragement, and the warmth he brought wherever he went.
As we remember his life, we find comfort in these words of scripture:
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Chuck’s journey continues in peace, and his light remains with us always.
