Walter Lee Atkins, age 93, of Marietta, GA died Friday, September 18, 2015. A graveside service will be, 11:00 AM, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta with Rev. Justin Holcomb officiating. Inurnment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Atkins was a native of Jasper, GA. He retired from Lockheed-Martin after 37 years. Mr. Atkins was a volunteer as a poll worker, a member of Refuge Baptist Church in Jasper, GA and a member of the Mason’s.
Mr. Atkins is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lillie Rea Atkins; nieces, Patsy (Frank) Moss, Joan (Fred) Adcock, Cheryl (Bruce) Hogue; nephew, Jimmy Wehunt; brother-in-law, Jim Wehunt and three great nieces.
