Carlton Edward Blake Jr.

Carlton Edward Blake, Jr., age 65, originally of New Hampshire, died on November 21, 2021 at Sovah Health of Martinsville-Henry County, Critical Care Unit after a long term illness due to Heart related issues. He was born in Keene, New Hampshire and served in the Military right out of High School during the Vietnam War Era. After 4 years in the Army and 3 years in the National Guard, he made a career being a Maintenance worker in the food industry repairing machines. He preferred to be called Butch by his friends, a nickname his mother gave him as a child. Carlton was a very kind hearted giving man who loved the Lord and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him. Besides being a talented Maintenance worker, he was also a skilled carpenter, plumber and electrician who was always ready to share his talents with anyone in need. He loved camping with his wife and his favorite place was to be at the ocean fishing for Stripers. He looked forward to those trips every year. He is survived by his wife, Janelle Blake, 2 stepchildren, 3 biological daughters and 8 grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
