Catherine Louise Lankford

Catherine Louise Pack Lankford, 85, of Ridgeway, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was born in Pilot Mountain, NC, September 19, 1928 to Roby Pack and Effie Childress Pack. Catherine retired from DuPont after 38 years of service and was a long-time member of White’s Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Lankford and a son, Timothy Lankford. Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Lankford, Terry Lankford and wife, Linda, all of Ridgeway; two sisters, Irene Cassell of Martinsville and Norma Smith of Stoneville, NC; one grandson, Brice Lankford; two step-grandsons and four step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee-Stone Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Hodges and the Rev. Greg Hodges officiating.
