

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Haynes, Jr., and his sisters, Erma Minter and Margaret Nagle.
Lowell is survived by his wife of 68 years, Judy Flanagan Haynes; children, Denise Perdue (Bill), Susan Carter (Worth, III), Tonia Patterson (Scott) and Adam Haynes (Shannon); grandchildren, Anna Holcomb(Teddy), Willie T. Perdue, Worth Carter, IV (Michelle), Tyler Carter (Ashley), Lauryn Hurley (Brandon), Hannah Patterson, Rachel Beam (Tyler), Caroline Haynes, Caitlyn Haynes, Adison Haynes and Jackson Haynes; great grandchildren, Jett, Piper, Logan, Dawson, Mateo, Aria, Stella, Haz, Jayden, Brantley, Natalie and Ty. He is also survived by his siblings, Vivian Mosher, Taylor Haynes and Johnny Haynes (Becky), many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
Lowell was a member of New Life Community Church and a man of very strong faith. He loved the Lord and he loved his family. He loved to read and he especially loved reading and studying his bible. He enjoyed being outdoors and cherished the times he spent working outside with his family, and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a very gifted furniture designer and had worked at American of Martinsville Furniture, Bassett Furniture and AC Furniture where he retired as vice president of sales and design. He was also a home designer. He enjoyed woodworking throughout his life.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 11:50 pm at McKee Stone Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. and will be officiated by Pastor Terry Knighton. Interment will be at Old Center Baptist Church in Bassett.
