Myra Bridges Hughes

Myra Joyce Bridges Hughes, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Richmond County, N.C. to Jack Lee Bridges and Joyce Snead Bridges. Her father preceded her in death.

Myra worked at VF as a customer service manager for 14 years. She was previously employed with Tultex of Martinsville.

She is survived by her mother, daughters; Nikki Turner Mahmutovic and her husband Damir of Indian Trail N.C., and Blaire Hughes of Martinsville; son, Blake Hughes of Martinsville, and sister, Robin Wood of Rockingham, N.C.; nephew, Robbie Stebbins of Huntersville, N.C.; niece, Brooke Dawkins and her husband, P.T. of Rockingham N.C.; great nieces, Madison and Presley Dawkins; and great nephew, Nolan Dawkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3140 Chaparral Dr. Ste. 106, Roanoke, VA 24018 or to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at McKee Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
