Robert Henry Haskell, III, 73, of Mulberry Road in Martinsville, died Friday, January 4, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. He was born in Orlando, Florida, September 27, 1939 to Robert Henry Haskell, Jr. and Antoinette Wade Marsh Haskell, both deceased. Robert was a graduate of UNC in Chapel Hill, NC and was publisher of Martinsville Bulletin in Martinsville.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Heim Haskell of the residence; one son, Andrew Robert Haskell of Morristown, NJ; three grandchildren, Chase Winn Haskell, Catherine Antoinette Haskell and Harrison Robert Haskell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New College Institute Foundation, 29 Jones Street, Martinsville, VA 24112 or to the SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, VA 24112.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the residence on Mulberry Road.
A service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
