Warren Baxter Robertson

Warren Baxter Robertson, 88, of Martinsville passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born in Martinsville on March 14, 1928 to Lewis Hampton Robertson and Gladys Marie Dillon Robertson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar Robertson.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Jo Joyce Robertson; sons, Baxter Robertson and wife Robin, Benton Robertson and wife Donna, Bryce Robertson and wife Karen; grandchildren, Bradford Aron, Chase, and Arden Robertson. Taylor and Tyler Robertson; and brother, Lewis Robertson

Mr. Robertson retired from Dupont with over 39 years of service. He served in the Army and was a long time member of the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department, Martinsville Jaycees and the Martinsville Elks Lodge. He was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church for over 60 years where he was the Sunday school superintendent for 20 years. He loved traveling with his wife and family .

A memorial service will be held at Starling Avenue Baptist Church, Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
