Mason
Beverly passed away peacefully on June 3, 2014 in Mason, with her loving family at her side.
Beverly was born to Arthur and Ourania “Vernie” in Grandville, Wisconsin on October 30, 1928. Her family moved to Detroit, Michigan where her father was a die maker, and where she eventually met her future husband Charles (Jack) Hubbard at a party of a mutual friend. They both graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit Michigan. After Jack was discharged from the Air Force, and had completed his undergraduate school, they were married on December 17, 1949. They lived in the now demolished Quonset houses at Michigan State University while Jack completed his study of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1952. They then moved to Mason, where Bev assisted Jack in his practice until his retirement. Beverly had a great passion for artistic endeavors, and over the years enjoyed many types of media. She was a visiting potter with the Greater Lansing Potters Guild. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, crafting, stamping and recently, the making of beautiful and creative greeting cards - most of them frame-worthy.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband Jack (2000), her parents and her brother Arthur. She is survived by her sons Gary (Karen), Steven, grandsons John and Matthew, and her sister Audrey Staples.
At Beverly’s request, there will be no funeral service. At a later date, a memorial service will be held at the Hubbard residence for family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard Mills Scholarship Fund, First Presbyterian Church of Mason, 131 E. Maple Street, Mason, MI 48854, or secondarily, the charity of your choice in Beverly’s memory
