Jack married the love of his life, Zora Tobachki, on November 8, 1954, shortly before serving his country in the U.S. Army. Upon his return in 1957, Jack worked in lumber and various other trades and became known as a “jack of all trades” to his family.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Zora Lance; children, Bruce Lance, Vicky (Scott) Quinn, Lisa Lance, Laura Higgs, Jeffery (Julie) Lance, and Michael Lance; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, John Lance Jr., James Russell Lance, and Basil Lance. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Baker Lance and Vera Ellen Lockwood.
A memorial service for Jack will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 6:00 PM, with a one-hour prior memorial visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 South Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854.
