I was sad to read of your Dad's passing. Be comforted by the fact that your Dad will be remembered as one of the "finest, most honorable and respected gentlemen" that anyone who ever met him would agree. He and your Mom were such good friends to my parents, and is someone that our family proudly called "our cousin"!!

Our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Never forget Jim being so kind to our family as well.

I am so sorry to hear about your father passing. There is alot of good memories of your family that we will cherish. Whenever I came back to Mason Darrells was the first place I went. He helped my son and I when we needed help. He was and always be a very special person.God bless your family.

Jim was the most caring, considerate and conscientious   person I ever knew.  I have seen him many times reach into his pocket and come up with a gift to a needy person or organization that need help.  I know the Lord welcomed him with open arms and he is working up there for the Kingdom of God.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Jim's family and friends.  What an honor to call this man our friend.  He always had great compassion for everyone, family, friends and community.  It was comforting and a joy when he and Bev would visit Lela during her illness. We are also remembering when he visited us in Florida, driving a great distance from where he was staying.  That is what he did...go the extra mile for family and friends.  He will be missed.  We will always remember him in a special way.

I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness.  I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I travel alone.  So, grieve a while if grieve you must---then let your grief be comforted by trust.  It's only for
a while that we must part so bless the memories in your heart.  I won't be far away for life goes on--so, if you need me call and I will come. Though you can not see or touch me---I'll be near and if you listen with your heart you will hear all my love around you soft and clear. I am so sad to hear of your Dad's passing.  We first met your Mom & Dad at a restaurant in Gaylord, MI, must have been in 1986?.  Were seated at a larger table and the server asked if they could join us, only to find out we "knew" each other but had never met!  From there your parents and Tom & I enjoyed a nice friendship.
Your Dad was a giant amongst men; kind, caring, hard working, fun; he loved you all and his grandkids and cared for everyone who worked for him and those that came into the store.
I am so sorry, he will be missed.
