Janet Mary Rayl

Mason, Michigan

On November 1, 1934 I cried and people rejoiced. On December 1, 2017 I rejoiced and people cried. Janet was born in Perham, Minnesota, the youngest of five children to Edward J. and Anne V. Stoll.

She married Duane F. Rayl on May 21, 1956 in Sidney, Nebraska. They were happily married until his premature death in 1981.

She enjoyed reading, dancing, sewing, cooking and baking. But her greatest love was for her family.

Janet will be greatly missed by her children, Jay (Debbie) Rayl, Vicki Moore, Terri (Bob) Hunsberger, Patti (Mark) Mashak and Mary (Russ Ogden) Woodard; her 13 grandchildren, Lindsay, Mike, Shannon, Kerrie, Cassie, Ashleigh, Natalie, Emily, Kyle, Jenna, Krista, Jonathan and Jacob; 11 great grandchildren plus one on the way; brother, Gene (Marion) Stoll; sister, Patricia (Duane) Augdahl; brother in-laws, Jim, Bob and Dennis Rayl; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; parents; sister, Gloria Basile; brother, Louis Stoll; brother in-laws, Joe Basile, Richard Rayl, and William Rayl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rural Ingham Meals on Wheels.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church 1010 S Lansing Street, Mason, Michigan. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 621 S. Jefferson Street, Mason Michigan.
