Jennifer was born in Traverse City, Michigan to Edward and Sarah Lassa on September 2, 1950. She married her loving husband Dale Rupprecht on July 6, 1974 in Reese, Michigan. Jennifer graduated with a registered nursing degree from Northwestern Michigan College. She began her nursing career as a floor nurse at Sparrow Hospital, and then worked in the emergency room. She found her true passion of caring for children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she worked for more than 30 years before her retirement. Her love for children was one of the many traits that captured all of our hearts. Jenny loved to dance, was very crafty with a sewing machine, and a wonderful cook. She loved traveling with her husband and friends, and cherished every moment with her family.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, Edward Lassa and her mother, Sarah Lassa.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Dale Rupprecht; sons, Gregory Rupprecht (Ashleigh VanTilburg), Eric Rupprecht; brother, Edward Lassa (Sue Lelito); and grandson, Brody Rupprecht.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854 with a memorial service beginning at 12 p.m. and a luncheon to follow.
