Joyce was born on December 6, 1944, in Jackson, Michigan to Robert Morgan and Annabelle Morgan. On September 12, 1964, she married the love of her life, Allan Pearson. Together they shared 61 devoted years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, family, and community. Joyce cherished the home she and Allan built, where she lived for 58 and a half years and created countless memories with those she loved.
Joyce dedicated 40 years of service to the Michigan Education Association before retiring. Her commitment to service extended far beyond her career. She was a charter member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Mason, Michigan, where she faithfully led the Altar Guild and gave generously of her time. She also volunteered her talents preparing food for church bazaars and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Joyce supported community initiatives as well, including efforts connected with the CASE Credit Union sports field for disabled individuals.
Joyce was an avid reader and an enthusiastic collector of antique jewelry. She was known for her warm hospitality—according to Allan, there was always something freshly baked coming out of the oven. Her charitable spirit, steady kindness, and devotion to others were hallmarks of her life.
Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, Allan; her daughter, Lynn Lankton (Henry Lankton); her son, Scott Pearson (Angie Pearson); her grandchildren, Victoria Lankton and Lexi Lankton; and her great-grandchildren, Willow Kilpatrick, Henry Pettit, and Harrison Pettit. She is also survived by her sisters, Tammie Driggs (John Driggs) and Kathy Baker (Gary Baker), along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annabelle Morgan and her brother, Robert Morgan Jr.
