Born October 24, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan to Carl and Rovilla (Bates) Gibbs, passed away on May 30, 2016 at the age of 86. Gibbie retired from GM after 33 years. He loved to ride his Harley and was an avid fan and collector. Gibbie loved spending time in the pool with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gladys (Raymond) Gibbs; his granddaughter, Melissa Wagner; and brothers and sisters. Surviving are his 3 daughters; Paula (John) Lienhart, Barb (Ed) Mullin, and Verna (Rick) Wagner; son, LaVern E. (Deb) Gibbs Jr.; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. The family will receive friends on Friday June 3, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
