Marjorie Alice Newman

HOLT FORMERLY OF MASON, MI

Marjorie was born November 18, 1918 in Penfield, Illinois to Luroy and Fannie (Hackman) Starr. She passed away on December 7, 2011 at the age of 93. Marjorie is survived by her stepson Doyle (Sandra) Newman, daughter-in-law Fern Newman, brother Roy (Patricia) Starr, all of Mason, MI, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Newman in 1983, two stepsons, Lyle J. Newman, Arthur F. Newman, five brothers, Harley Starr, Clyde Starr, Glenn Starr, of Mason, Forrest Starr of Cheyenne, WY. and Robert Starr of Phoenix, AZ. Years ago, Marjorie was employed at Wyeth Corporation in Mason and as a school bus driver for Holt Public Schools. She will always be remembered for her quick smile and laughter. A special thank you to Bonnie, Flapjack, Craft Care Home and McLaren Hospice for their kindness to her and her family. Funeral services will be held at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI, Monday, December 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends 1 hour prior to the services.
