Martha May Mason

Martha May Mason, 86 of Holt, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. She was born October 1, 1928 in Holt; the daughter of Elias and Bertha (Drake) Mire. Martha loved to bake, cook, write out recipes, laugh and joke with family. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her family members, including her husband, Harley. Martha loved the Bible and visiting with nurses and activity planners at the Holt Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; one son, Lewis Mire; one daughter, Mary Jordan; brother, Henry Mire and sister, Mable Gearheart. Left behind to cherish the memories of Martha are her grandchildren, Lara Mire, Nathan Mire, Jonathon Mire and Kasey Jordan; one great-granddaughter; Raina Alexandra Jordan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services remembering Martha's life will be held at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 621 S. Jefferson Rd., Mason, on Monday, November 16th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wes Emerson officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions in Martha's may be made to the family in care of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 621 S.
