

Age 49, passed away at his home August 13, 2014 after a battle with kidney cancer. Bob was a Master Plumber, Local #333. He worked for the John E. Green Company over 29 years, as a General Foreman and Project Superintendent. With an array of project experiences rooted in medical, commercial and education, his working knowledge of the build ability and coordination of any type of construction project was second to none. Bob’s experience, organizational skills, along with his willingness to be a team player made him among the best and most respected in the industry. Bob was an avid MSU fan, loved hunting and enjoyed actively managing his farm. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Verlee and Searl Briggs, Harold Chard; aunt, Marlene Chard; uncle, Rodney Chard. He is survived by his beloved family, Missy, Harley and Wyatt Pedigo; mother, Penny (Dillon) Blair; father, Jon (Mary) Briggs; brother, Daniel (Amy) Briggs; nephew Jack Briggs; niece, Rachel Briggs; grandmother, Cleo Chard; aunts and uncles, Jim Chard, Jill (Don) Novakoski, and Jan (Bill) Bravender. He leaves behind many cousins, friends and his dog, Scout. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Mason First Church of the Nazarene at the 415 E. Maple St., Mason, MI with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Cancer Research, 900 Fee Rd., Suite 216 West, East Lansing, MI 48824. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends; his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
