Angelo J. Previte "AJ"

Angelo J. Previte "AJ" age 89, of Aurora, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on June 1, 1936, in Cleveland, AJ was the beloved son of the late Frank and Lena Previte. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Previte. AJ was a graduate of Brush High School and Kent State University. He served his country as a U.S. Army Veteran. He spent many years as a teacher and coach at Massillon High School, where he met his beloved wife, Kay G. Previte. AJ worked as an insurance agent with Allstate for 37 years, building lifelong friendships along the way. Harness racing was one of AJ’s greatest passions, and he proudly owned many horses throughout his life. AJ loved antiquing with Kay and always knew how to pick the best furniture. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians, Cavs, and Browns, always dreaming of a Super Bowl. AJ was affectionately known as “AJ Slots” for his legendary luck at the casino, earning a spot on the winners’ wall in Wheeling, West Virginia and regularly hitting it big. He loved to travel, from Charleston, South Carolina for golf and family trips, to New England for antiquing, to all the adventures of the Allstate trips with Kay. Above all, AJ cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Kay G. Previte, his children: Robert A. Previte (Rebecca) of Aurora, Lynley K. Baker (late Chauncey) of Chagrin Falls, and Kerry G. Snyder (Chris) of Parrish, Florida; his grandchildren: Courtney A. Monarch (Cody), Brittany A. Lenz (Jeremy), Zachary A. Previte, Jeremy A. Previte, Gianna S. Previte, Marco J. Previte, Kaylyn D. Baker, Keira L. Baker, Joseph R. Daly, and Erin M. Daly; and his great-grandchildren, Jamie A. Monarch and Charlotte A. Monarch.The family will receive friends at the DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Rd. Mayfield Hts. OH 44124, Sunday August 3rd from 1:00-4:00 PM.
