CARMEN “Minnie” CASERIO, age 92. Born 1/25/1928, passed 1/1/2020. Loving son of Nicola and Marie (nee Santangelo), dear brother of John and the following deceased Vincenza, Angela and Christine. Beloved husband of the late Yolanda (nee Santelli); wonderful father to Nick, Carmen Brunello (deceased), Cheryl, Rocky and Dean (Jennifer); devoted grandfather of Nicholas (Kathleen), Michael (Roxann), Alessandra, Chuck (Melissa) Brunello, Joe (Ashlee) Brunello, Giovanni, Joseph, Dominic and Carmen; great grandfather of Whitley, Chatham, Charlie,. Miahbella and Michael Rocco Caserio and Arianna, Charlie, Nino, Santino, Silvio and Sofia Brunello; uncle of many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Minnie had an extraordinarily full life. He graduated from Collinwood High, enlisted in the Army where he won many Golden Glove boxing awards, worked for Collinwood Shale, and became District Manager of Zayre stores in appliances. From there became a Manufactures Representative which opened the door to Vice President of Randix where he retired. He had an impeccable work ethic and shortly into retirement worked for DiCicco Funeral Home and various car delivery jobs. His dream retirement job was Maitre’D at Casa di Borally’s where his love for people and having fun were fulfilled for 15 years.
Minnie had the same group of friends since he was 5 years old. They celebrated weddings, the birth of their children, birthdays, July 4th at Pineway Trails and any reason to get together. As they got older they still met every Tuesday for cards. They were a wonderful group of guys who are mostly gone now.
Minnie was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed.
