Faye H. Bendau (nee Greene), age 75, went to be with the Lord on Apr. 4, 2026. She died peacefully in her sleep after a long, brave battle with Alzheimer’s at her nursing home, Avenue at Medina. She is reunited in eternity with her beloved husband, James M. Bendau. She is the dearest mother of Derrick (wife Melissa) and Howard (wife Natal); devoted grandmother of Karsten, Hunter, Maverick, and Maxton; dear sister of Larry Greene and proud Aunt of many. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Dorothy Greene and beloved English Mastiffs Odin and Zeus. She was born Dec. 27, 1950 and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1968. She graduated from Kent State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She was very proud of her career as a psychiatric nurse, having provided light to countless patients in their darkest times. However, her greatest joys were spending time with her family, traveling through the National Parks, and watching her children in their various sports and other activities. She also spent time volunteering, including at the Mayfield Wrestling Club. Faye dedicated her life to her loved ones and those who needed help most, and is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.
Memorials may be made in her memory to Gardens of Western Reserve Hospice.
