Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of dear Herbert—a man whose warmth, humor, and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Though miles often separated us, his laughter and kindness bridged the distance, making every interaction memorable.
Herbert was truly a jolly good fellow—a phrase that captures his spirit perfectly. I’ll never forget the shock (and eventual delight) of receiving my first bottle of sparkling wine from him as a welcome gift! That gesture, so quintessentially him, revealed his generous and playful nature. He had a rare gift for turning ordinary moments into joyful memories, and his presence brightened every family gathering.
We are grateful for the times we shared—from Meru’s wedding in Vasai to cherished conversations across continents. His love for family, his wit, and his unwavering positivity will remain an inspiration. As he reunites with Vijaya and Stephanie, we take comfort in knowing his legacy lives on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
