DECEMBER 3, 1926 – OCTOBER 4, 2020
Irina Rabinovich 94, passed away on Sunday October 4, 2020 peacefully in her bed with her daughter by her side.
She was born in Krasnodar, Russia and spent her childhood there. She was married in 1950 to Abram and relocated to Yerevan, Armenia. She lived there for many years and worked at a local kindergarten. Her time in Armenia was a very bright part of her life, she fell in love with the warmth and spirit of the people, their hospitality, and culture. She loved that in Armenia life was about community and family and that all small and large events (happy or sad) are to be shared together. That social nature became a deep part of her outgoing personality.
Family was always a priority. She raised two daughters in Yerevan and as they grew and explored the world, Irina and Abram wanted to stay close and followed them first to Moscow and then to the United States. She was always involved in the life of her family and was interested in all the small and large detail of their lives. She was very social and active with a close group of friends and, just like in Yerevan, always found reasons to get together. Her care and kindness will always be remembered.
Irina and Abram were married for 62 years until Abrams’ passing in 2012. She continued to be very active for the remainder of her life. She is survived by two daughters (Inna and Galina), two grandsons (Igor and Alexei) and 5 great-grandchildren (Alan, Pasha, Nika, Alexander, and Alicia).
The family will receive friends on Thursday October 8th from 1:30-2:30pm at the DiCICCO & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 5975 MAYFIELD RD. MAYFIELD HTS. OH 44124. Private Burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park to follow.
