When I knew Ray he was one of the funniest and happiest people.  It was an honor to have been able to call him a friend. My sincere condolences to his family.

I've known Ray for quite a few years, initially online, but then in person.

It's because of him that I made another friend in Cleveland.

I'm still in shock and just having a difficult time coming to terms with his passing.

Family & Friends, 
This is Ben and Valerie -- Ray's nephew and Grama.  Ray adored both.  As an Uncle and Grandson, Ray shared his love, humor and selfless character with both. 
Valerie Pellan was an awesome Grama to her 1st grandson, Raymond.  My memories are too many but here's one: 
Grama would take us (me, Debi, John Pellan, Ray)  for trips to Punderson State Park in her Cutlass Supreme, first going over speed bumps in Marsol Towers apartments, before heading to that beach.  I clearly remember holding Ray and being in her car (did we wear seat belts? sit in boost seats? lol) bouncing around, laughing, singing all the way to Newbury.  Good times, good times.
Valerie was dang proud to be the Grandmother of Raymond Anthony Fiorino-- that is for sure! 

Ray will surely be missed. He had a great heart and I was honored to call him my friend.  Cherish your memories.

We ran in the same circle for years when we were young and crazy.  You always brought good cheer and humor, brightening up any outing or event.  A kind soul, always willing to go the extra mile to help a friend.  Heaven just got a gem!  RIP my friend you will be missed and remembered with a smile.

Raymond, Beauty and love.. embraced all things, loved animals, art, nature, earth.. everything..  one of my first friends when I came out.. amazing Babysitter to my pets that adored him more than they adored me.. Tender loving creative loyal joyful fun amazing Man.. I will never forget you my friend and I will see you on the other side.. 

I am grateful that I just saw Ray on Christmas day - after almost 15 years - we laughed and caught up on life - and he was always smiling!!! But what I will remember most is our days at American Speedy - when he would develop our photo's and I took orders for printing! He would make me laugh each and every day - Ray you will be missed by so many - especially your mom - so say Hi to your dad for us - and may God keep you in his warm embrace! 

Ray was a huge part of of our summer family at camp.  He brought his unique humor and entertainment always up for deep belly laughs and shenanigans !  A kind soul who has touched so many lives.  He gave of his time and talents to some of our events.  He gave us all of him and we will love him and miss him for a long time to come.  We are grateful that he was a part of our summer family and we were and are  a better brighter place because of your beautiful spirit my friend.  We will miss you terrible!  Your F.V. family . 

It was probably 13 years ago when I first met Ray camping. Ray was an incredible person with such energy and always so outgoing and friendly. I immediately liked him from the very beginning. 

I am sad that your time on this earth was so short. In these short years, you left such a great impression on so many people. The world will miss you and be a little less special without your smile, laughter, kindness and overall good nature. 

I imagine the gates of Heaven will soon be covered in one of your crochet pieces!

Rest in peace my friend.

It was such a pleasure knowing Ray.  What a guy! 

The world became a little darker with your light gone from it.

Grateful for the time we had with you, Saturday nights at Sachsenheim were special because of you.

The joy in your heart, the acceptance of all people that you exuded.

Truly a special man, words fail, memories, well they are not enough, but surely, if anyone lived life fully, seized the moment, and savored the day, it was you Ray.

Things will not be the same without you. I will miss your big smile, funny personality,  and your big hearted nature. I will remember you as Ray Crochet and will cherish your rainbow yarn necklace you made for me. You left too soon, but you will never be forgotten.

To my dear friend Ray,
Thirty years have passed since you were a standard feature in what was far more than my social life. We were part of a family united by “our” music, concerts, celebrations, and an alternative way of approaching the world. Your role was invaluable. You made us laugh till we cried, till our stomachs hurt. 

I remember your vibrancy and infectious smile, how you lit up with joy whenever the tiniest reason for it presented itself. You channeled joy for us. And I thank you for that. 

I hope that, wherever you are, you are able to fly. And shape shift. And teleport. And become a tree. And ride on the wind. Because somehow, it just seems right that you, Ray, would be able to do these things.

Ray always had a big smile and great laugh. 
He was always so fun,welcoming, and crafty. 
I was over his apartment a few months ago and we had an impromptu canvas paint party. It was so fun and relaxing. 
I will miss my friend.

Ray was one of the warmest people I had ever met.  I feel very fortunate to have known him.  A definite ray of sunshine.  He will be very missed.
