

Ann Lois Porges Dodson, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. Ann was born on January 1, 1948 in Massachusetts to Armin and Rebecca Porges. She graduated from the University of South Florida, went on to teach before attending Mercer University , where she earned a law degree. Ann was known for always volunteering at Temple Beth Isreal, serving as President of the Sisterhood and as Temple President. She cherished time with family and friends, especially at holidays and birthdays. Ann loved to bake and would send treats to family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband Philip Dodson Sr., stepson Philip Dodson Jr. and her aunt and uncle Saul and Judy Strachman and survived by stepson Jeff (Lynne) Dodson, daughter-in-law Melissa Dodson and brother Paul (Susan) Porges, 4 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Temple Beth Isreal in Macon, GA, Congregation Sha’arev Isreal in Macon, GA., or the Lions Club of Macon.
