

Anne is survived by her children, Jeffrey (wife Nancy) Brant of Cartersville, Georgia and Barry (wife Jacqueline) Brant, of Miami, Florida as well as her sister, Sylvia Faber of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Amanda (husband Anthony) Tadajewski of Cartersville, Georgia; Marlowe Brant of Nashville, Tennessee; Tara (husband Chad) Cohen and Shayna Brant, of New York City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Brant of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her brother, Sol Newman of Savannah, Georgia; her mother, Tema Shiland Newman and her father, Abraham Newman, of Birmingham, Alabama.
Anne was born on September 19, 1927, in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from Ramsey High School in Birmingham. She married Harvey, a Dade County public school administrator and business owner in 1951. The couple raised their family in Miami. Her children remember her as a kind, loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams.
Anne was accomplished at selling real estate and took pride in raising her sons. She was a generous individual, belonging to Hadassah where she donated time helping others. She also belonged to a local asthma research fundraising organization in Miami for many years. Anne loved to travel and was passionate about life. She was an active and dedicated member of her temple.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, at 2:30 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL with a visitation to follow at the home of Barry and Jacqueline Brant. Cantor Rochelle Nelson will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Anne’s life. In lieu of food or flowers, please send donations to the Miami Jewish Federation.
