I don’t even know what to say! Lainey and I dated years ago when I was in the Marines and I always wondered what happened to the man I knew Benny would become. Guess I’m searching as the new year is upon us all but the world lost a great man, son, brother, friend and uncle. Sorry for your indescribable loss! 

Dear Lesley, Ken and Lainey,
I wish I could say I don’t know the pain when one looses a child, or a brother, or being the daughter wanting to protect parents as much as parents want to protect their children from insurmountable loss...  And yet, things happen in our lives that  leave us asking , Why...!
So much friendship, joy and wisdom,  Benny clearly  brought to those he loved, and all whom he touched along the way. WoW!
  People never forget how someone made them feel.  
While life will never be the same “normal, because Ben is not physically present, your journey to a “different normal” will continue to be inspired by precious moments and love you shared as a family.
And those moments, will continue, with  Benny in your hearts, to make a difference for others, indefinitely.
May the chapters and moments you had, bring strength and comfort, to you all, as Benny will always be part of the chapters yet to be...

Dear Tobins and to all of Benny's family,
I am so, so sorry for your incredible loss. 
A loss to all that knew such a fine young man.
So many happy memories of Benny fill my mind when I think of him. During the kid's high school days, I always had them check-in with me when passing through our home. Benny always stopped, took the time to ask about me.  He would tell a cute, current and funny story so I was caught up on what was new with him. He sometimes would let his friends go do their thing, but he would make sure to connect in a way that was beyond his age. He was an incredibly deep soul. Not only did my son admire him and consider him one of his best friends, but he considered Benny to be his brother like his cousin, Ricky. I will never forget that precious time Benny and I shared when sitting across the kitchen island laughing and catching up. 
Oh, how he loved his family. I know the ones he lost back then and just recently are all holding him so tight right now and he will never be alone. 
I send so much love and prayers to those who were so blessed to have known and loved such an incredible person.

We came to know Ben and his family 25 years ago through the YMCA Indian Guide program.  We started out together on an amazing journey - 10 dads and 11 four and five year old sons.  Ben was an elder statesman from the very beginning - quick to charm, full of fun and wise beyond his years.  My most vivid memory of Ben is his impromptu sketch that he did in on how he would respond to someone who would not take "no" for an answer.   He rattled of 20 or so ways to say "no";  telling us new and even funnier phrases as he gained momentum.  He ended with "P.S.  . . . No!"  Zack and I still use this on each other and whatever the issue is fades to laughter.   Ben,  you live on in our hearts and smiles.  Rest In Peace.

I will cherish in my heart the many years together since your birth and childhood, to the last time couple of weeks ago when you stuck your sweet head with that big smile through my car window for a quick conversation.
Benny was a Gift of Life to Lesley and Kenny who waited years for another baby. And when you came along, I witnessed the endless and enormous love and happiness you brought to your parents and your sister Lainey. Those happy memories and smiles of over 30 years I will cherish in my mind and heart to replace the tears and pain of these days. You will forever be a young beautiful man. Rest In Peace sweet Benny. I loved you for always...

I cannot fathom your pain. You are the best conceivable parents and people. My prayers are with you for eternity.  

There is nothing worse than losing a child.  The pain will be more than you can bear, but I hope the wonderful memories will sustain you in this very difficult time, and going forward.  I remember Benny as a young man, very sweet and kind.  My heart breaks for you both, and your whole family.  Rest in peace, sweet Benny.
