Rabbi Bernard Silver, 91, of North Miami Beach, FL, passed away the third day of Chanukkah in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Bertha and Jacob Silverblatt. He leaves behind: Adriane, his loving and devoted wife of 35 years; his children: Aliza (Chaim) Dissen of Chicago, IL; Jay (Dia) of Edmonton, Alberta; Yossi (Louise) of Efrat, Israel; Craig (Amy) Coan of Los Angeles, CA; and Brian (Ellen) Coan of Orlando, FL; his siblings: Malka (Harry) Elikan of Skokie, IL; Peshe (Dr. Joel) Dennis of North Miami Beach, FL; Dr. Manuel (Sandy) Silverblatt of Lincolnwood, IL; seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Edith Mendelsohn. He was a pulpit rabbi in Edmonton and South Florida and loved serving G-d and the Jewish people.
