Carole Esther Dickman, born on April 3, 1944, passed away on July 21, 2025. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and later in life, moved to South Florida to be closer to her daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Steckler and her grandchildren, Gavin and Addison. Carole was known for being a warm, open, and communicative person. She was kind, thoughtful, accepting. People loved her beautiful blue eyes, her laugh, and her sweet smile. She loved her daughter and grandchildren deeply and was always very positive and affirming to them. She was fiercely dedicated to her father Charles (aka Poppy) and devoted a good number of years to his caregiving. She was a sweet, loving woman who walked around the neighborhood for years with her shopping cart, smiling to everyone. She was emotionally intelligent, insightful, and had a quiet and ever present inner strength and will. Although she was ill in various ways for quite some time, she can best be remembered as someone who loved going to play bingo and slot machines in Atlantic City, New Jersey, telling her daughter how wonderful she was and spending time with friends drinking coffee at the kitchen table and at the local diner in Brooklyn. She will loved and remembered always.
A funeral service will be held at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), located at 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143, United States. The service is scheduled for July 25, 2025, starting at 11:00 am. Family will be sitting shiva.
Donations made in Carole’s memory can be made to Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) or Jewish National Fund (JNF-USA)
