With a heavy heart we mourn the passing of Dr. Dana Mitchell Levinson, age 59, who died peacefully on Friday, February 5th. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Cathy, sons, Jared and Caleb, daughter, Andrea, and 2 grandchildren. He also leaves his parents, Marty and Shirley, and sisters, Laura and Elizabeth. Dr. Levinson was a Board Certified Family Physician in Pembroke Pines, Florida. His patients and employees were loyal and loved him to the end. Dana graduated from Ransom High School, then University of Miami and Nova Southeastern Medical School. His many talents ranged from a fourth degree black belt in Akido and 2nd degree black belt in Jujitsu. He also was an accomplished musician playing the piano and guitar. Dr. Levinson was a merit scholar and a competitive athlete, including tennis. He loved riding horses and traveling. Dana will be put to rest at Mt. Nebo Memorial Gardens, 5900 SW 77th Avenue, Miami, 33143, on Sunday, February 7th at 1:00pm.
