Evelyn Booth was born in Bronx, NY on February 16, 1935. Her parents were Rebecca and Harry Steinberg. Younger sister of Rose and Sylvia. Met her future husband, Lenny, in the Catskills in the summer of 1955 while she was there with her family on vacation and he was a bellhop. Lenny and Evelyn were married on Sept 8, 1956 and immediately moved to Arkansas where Lenny was stationed in the Army. Their first daughter, Michelle, was born in 1958 in Little Rock, Arkansas. After Lenny left the Army, the family moved to Miami and Michael was born in 1966. Lenny was a teacher and coach while Evelyn worked at a dental office and department store the first few years in Miami. She became a full-time housewife until Lenny came up with the brilliant idea of opening up B Screened. My mother ran the business for the first 12 years while Lenny was still teaching and coaching. They saw each other 24/7/365 which of course led to some disagreements and arguments. But they loved each other nonetheless. Evelyn was always there to be the rock of the family and help the business succeed. She was the most loving and supportive grandmother any grandchild could have. When physically able, she would attend all of her grandkids softball and baseball games. She eventually moved to the Palace in 2018 after Lenny,s passing and became the Queen of "The Palace". She knew everyone and she knew everything about everyone. She will be sorely missed by all.
