Evelyn B Miller

Evelyn B. Miller, 94, of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. She was born to Edward and Bluma (Betty) Brooks in Vineland, New Jersey. She grew up in Philadelphia with her sister, Marcia.

> Her parents owned an ice cream and candy shop, where she worked and met her first husband.

>

> Evelyn had three children: Carol, born in Philadelphia, and two sons, Todd (Isabel) and Richard (Amanda), both born in Miami. Later in life, she met Jack Miller, and together they successfully blended their families. She lovingly welcomed his children, David (Marilyn), Barry (Adriana), and Laurie (Santi).

> She was an avid tennis player at the Royal Palm Tennis Club, where she and Jack regularly played. They had a mountain home in Highlands, North Carolina, where they made dear friends with neighbors and often welcomed guests and family to enjoy the fresh air-and even a bear or two.

>

> Jack and Evelyn moved to The Palace in Coral Gables in 2016, where they made many dear friends. She loved playing bridge, making jewelry, and arranging flowers. Her favorite class was improv, and she truly enjoyed the monthly book club. She and Jack were always the first on the dance floor, making any event a special occasion.

>

> Evelyn loved her family and friends with all her heart and was always ready for fun and great conversation. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was lovingly known as Mom, Mama, Grammy, and GG.

>

> Evelyn's funeral service will be officiated by Rabbi Barras from Beth Am at Mt. Nebo-Kendall on Thursday, February 27, at 1 PM in the chapel, followed by a graveside service.

>

> A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 PM at The Palace, 1 Andalusia Ave., Coral Gables, FL 33143 (valet parking provided).

A funeral service for Evelyn will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
