

Joan Tepper (Harris-Rosenbloom), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on December 31st, 2024 at the age of 89. She was a spirited and adventurous soul, known for her curiosity and vivid storytelling.
Joan was born in Chicago, IL on March 20th in 1935 and attended the University of Illinois. She married the love of her life, the late Arlen Tepper, in 1955, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they built a loving family. She was a world traveler and an active member of the Champaign-Urbana kennel club.
Joan is survived by her children Mark Tepper (Mari Tepper), Laurie Dietz (David Dietz), and is preceded in death by her late daughter, Tammy Smith, whom she held close in her heart throughout her life.
Joan’s greatest joy was watching her grandchildren—Richard Smith, Shawn Smith, Beth Partyka, Lindsay Solski, Kristen Tepper, Jessica Harnisch, Sarah Hunt, Rachel Dietz, and Adam Dietz—grow and thrive. Her pride deepened with the arrival of her eighteen great-grandchildren, each bringing new adventures and cherished moments into her life.
Joan will be remembered for her riveting stories and adventures, sharp wit, great taste in art and kind heart. The graveside service for Joan Tepper will be held at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo/Kendall Memorial Gardens on January 5th, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
