Joseph Arnold Glick was born on January 31, 1958 in Miami Beach, Florida to William and Frances Glick.
Joey grew up in Miami Beach where he began and maintained so many lifelong friendships. He spent afternoons on the baseball fields of North Shore and Flamingo parks and weekends cheering on the Dolphins and Hurricanes.
Joey attended the University of Miami, where he studied journalism, and where his love for sports and the Hurricanes grew. But that love paled in comparison to his love for his future wife, Sharon, who he met on the steps of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity house as an undergraduate.
After completing law school at UM and opening his own successful law practice, Joey and Sharon started their family together, raising three daughters, Heidi, Tiffany, and Jasmine. Joey and Sharon celebrated 45 years of marriage, welcoming six grandsons—Tommy and Jackson Rutland, and Eli, Ethan, Solly, and Roey Pinkert—along the way.
Joey loved sports, traveling, music, Seinfeld, and the history of the civil rights era, and he could always come up with a famous historical quote for any moment— many of which he taught to his young grandsons.
Joey battled Parkinson’s Disease as an adult, fighting his symptoms but also working to help others who were afflicted. Joey helped bring Rock Steady Boxing for people with
