Dr. Baer was more than a doctor he was a superior kind human being. He loved to help others. He helped me with a problem I had. He was gentle and caring to all his patients. He was always positive and happy to help everyone. I haven't met a doctor yet so caring and honest like Dr. Baer. I just found out of his passing. I saw him few times before I delivered but he was retired and I was forwarded to Dr. Chi. I never felt the comfort with any doctor in my life that is not Dr. Baer. It is an extreme lost to the community and to his patients and family his passing. I feel so sad about him not being with us anymore. He was a friend doctor. He never hurried one nor was he ever mad or upset in the life that I knew him, he was super doctor.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Baer's family.  Dr. Baer was my doctor for many years  and will always hold a special place in my heart. He was an exceptional doctor and person. I was truly blessed to have known him.

Dr Baer was my doctor for 10 yrs and then my insurance changed right when I became pregnant...since he was so dear to me, even though he wasn't my doctor anymore I wanted to share the news with him. I moved out of the state for several years and upon my return, I was thrilled to be able to return to Dr Baer as a patient. He was the best doctor and kindest soul I've ever met. His approach to his patients was so personal and genuine. He will be dearly missed.

I just learned of his passing. When I lived in Miami, he delivered my first two children. Because of him, I went to medical school and became an ob/gyn. I've often thought of him (fondly), and aspired to practice in the same manner as him. A little bit of me died when I learned he was gone. A truly special person and wonderful role model. G-d bless him and keep him.

Dr Baer will always hold a special place in my heart.  Joyously delivered 3 of my children, helped me through my darkest moments, and was there for all the in betweens. We were blessed to have known him.

He was an exceptional, kind soul. He was the best doctor anyone could ever wish for. It is with great sadness that I will miss his grace, kindness and wisdom.

We have truly lost one of the really great ones.  It was my extreme pleasure to have been honored in knowing him.

I called the office today for an appointment.  I was shocked when they told me he was retired.  After searching some more i  found out about his passing. I feel like I lost a family member. I have been his patient since he opened his practice for over 45 years.  I moved to Ft Lauderdale 25 years ago but still traveled to Miami for my visits. I wish I had known of his passing so I could of been there to pay tribute to this Great Doctor and friend.  He delivered both my sons.  R.I.P Dr.Baer  You will be truly missed.

He delivered my two children. He was advised to me by a mutual friend when I moved to the U. off Miami and we were in desparate need of a great obstetrician. He was an outstanding, amazing doctor.  Most impressive to me was his calm demeanor in life-threatening situations and his ability to act very rapidly without yelling or screaming or raising his voice. A true leader for his patients and those about to be born. I can see why his family states that the world has become a darker place without him. Simply irreplaceable.

I moved to Miami in 2006, Dr. Baer was my first doctor here, I found I had hypothyroidism, spent a year going to reproductive endocrinologist that only recommended I go for in vitro fertilization, I talked to Dr.Baer and he gave me so much hope. With no special procedures, after nine months I had my baby.  It was really nice meeting him and Arlene, his assistant.
I was very sad to find out he passed away.

Dr. Baer delivered both of my children in 1971 and 1973. It was a very sad day when I received his "extended medical-leave" letter. I will always remember his exemplary compassion for all of his patients. Dr.Baer was my best doctor and friend. He was so proud of his granddaughter and promised to spoil her. May you find daily comfort in his legacy.

I just found out about Dr. Baer's passing. Dr. Baer was my dr for a long time and delivered my 10.4 lbs baby boy 30 years ago. He was a wonderful man and the best dr. and was like a big brother to me. I loved him very very much. Sending my love and strength to the family.

Was so sorry to hear this sad news - I retired and moved from Miami in 2008 & just heard of his death. I felt blessed to have Dr. Baer, such a kind, caring doctor, as my OB/GYN for over 35 years. He took the time to sit and talk during every visit & made me feel comfortable. He always seemed to ask the right questions about my life's circumstances & I often wondered if he put additional notes in my chart. 
A great man left us too soon!

Dr. Baer became my doctor when I moved to Homestead in 1990.  He was a gentle and caring doctor.  I was saddened when he had to leave the medical practice he loved due to illness.  I had not heard of his passing and today I was thinking about him and found this on the internet.  My heart goes out to his family and close friends.  He will be missed!

I just heard last night from Sally Friedman, our dear friend with whom Ken and I went through all of our school. 
I am so sorry for your loss. I can really be one who understands, as Harriet passed away on November 1.

The loss is terrible after so many years together as one.Thank god that you have your chidren, as I can only say that my sons and grandkids being close are the only thing that helps.

I've just read all the wonderful words everyone has written about our Dr. Baer.  Whenever your family is having a hard time with his passing you need to read all the kind words everyone has written about the best doctor I ever had.  I became his patient in the early 70's, he delivered both my children, was also my mother's doctor as well as my daughter that he delivered in 1977.  My daughter also worked in his office for a short time when she was in school. He continued to take such good care of all of us.  I feel like I grew up with Dr. Baer from pre children to my retirement.  We shared our family stories over the years.  You should know how much he loved all of you.  I will always remember this thoughtful, kind, gentle man.  He will be missed by so many.

He was my gynecologist for 40 years, I dearly loved him.  God Bless his family!!

when I heard after a short absence that Ken had passed it evoked several emotions.The first was that the world and mostly his family will have to live without a truly "gentle"man.Secondly sadness that I did not have enough time to help him not suffer so.May he rest in peace

As my mother, Terry Fogel, expressed in her condolence, our family will miss Dr. Baer and think of him always with absolute affection and gratitude. He delivered me many years ago after an arduous labor (evidently, I did not want to be evicted).  Dr. Baer's guidance and skill through some tumultuous moments resulted in a healthy birth and a happy life. I am forever indebted to him and wish his family peace and warm wishes during this sorrowful time.

Dr. Baer was a true Mensch. He was the first gynecologist I had ever seen and he was a rare real gem. In time, I was the first Type 1 diabetic pregnant patient he had. He went out of his way to seek out and send me information on diabetic pregnancies throughout my pregnancy. Even when he was on his "vacation" he sent me an article and gave me a call. Not many other physicians would have taken the time or trouble to do that. He was willing to listen to my needs and incorporate them in his treatment plan. Thanks to Dr. Baer's knowledge, wisdom, compassion, kindness, patience and understanding in 1977, I gave birth to a healthy son. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Baer and will never forget him. Dr. Baer was a true humanitarian and a wonderful caring person. I pray that his family (who he never failed to talk about) will be blessed with strength and that hope and wonderful memories of Dr. Baer will speed them toward peace on their grief journey.

Ken Baer was a long-time friend since 1950 when we attended Summit Lake Camp together; our fathers were also friends and professional colleagues who referred patients to one another; we were also in the US Air Force at the same time as the Baers and visited them at Homestead AFB, FL; we were with Ken when he met his future wife, Sandy Blumenthal (also at camp); we maintained a friendship from afar through the years, and Ken attended one of the Summit Lake reunion dinners with our bunkmates; Ken and Sandy were a loving couple and devoted to their children; one would have to go far afield to meet as wonderful and caring a person as Ken Baer, and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten; our hearts go out to Sandy and the children.

To the Baer family our deepest sympathy. When I learned yesterday of the passing of Ken Baer I thought back to his delivery of my daughter     Teresa after 3 days in labor in 1969. I was blessed to have him as my doctor then and I thank God for him every   day. You are all in my prayers.

I am so sad and find it hard to find words. He was my doctor since 1975. Helped me through such hard times like a family member. I loved that man.

patients of his , !0 years ago my mom fell ill in the hospital about 3 weeks before she past i walked in one day and she said guess who called me ? I said who? Dr Baer . I thought she was dreaming . well at my check up 4 months later i found out he did call and spoke to her for 20 mins . Dr. Baer was my doctor from around 1978 through his retirement two years ago.  He was also the doctor that my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and many other family members went to for many decades. Dr Baer was the most amazing Dr.  Every time he saw me he kissed my forehead.  He helped me when I panicked and always made sure my health fears were addressed and never made me feel bad that I panicked so easily.  I felt as though he was a part of my family. Dr. Baer was my doctor for 30 years.  He was always there for me in all my ups and downs.  He always calmed my fears and helped me through many trials and tribulations.  I am so saddened, but so happy to have had him as my doctor all these years.  He was very proud with a huge smile whenever i asked how his granddaughter was.  Rest in peace Dr. Baer.
