Dear Grandma,

There’s too many wonderful memories to share only one. I remember Justin and I's sleepovers at your apartment in Miami. You'd let us eat as much ice cream as we wanted, and we’d play the fishing game and watch VHS tapes late into the night. You’d throw the pool toys in the big pool and Justin and I would dive for them. I remember how happy you were when you met Jimmy. He was always willing to listen to my questions and explain the world around me. Some of my most fond memories include us staying at Jimmy’s house in New Hampshire in the summertime. Taking the paddle boat out on the pond, going to Mt. Killington in VT., and eating raspberries right off the bushes are some of my first memories of the beautiful nature outside of FL. 
I remember when your house was built in Cape Coral. We’d celebrate Hanukkah there and we’d play the card game Jimmy taught us (Donkey) that Justin and I loved to play because we were always laughing! I remember the times Larry and Jay visited and how happy you were to see them. I remember when you started living in Brookdale. I remember the day I visited you with Vita and told you I was going to be a father! You didn’t believe me so I said “Just wait Grandma!, we’re going to bring our baby to meet you when she is born and is ready to be in public”. The first time you met her you cried tears of joy and said you’d never seen anything so beautiful. You couldn’t stop talking about Annabelle. You were amazed with how amazing she was, and you’d say “wow look at that!” at anything she did :) I enjoyed performing for you and all your friends at Brookdale. You told me how wonderful I was and you don't know how great it made me feel to make you proud and to be able to share music with you.  I'm thankful you spent many hours with Annabelle throughout her first 2 years. You always lit up and smiled when you saw her. Thank you for showing me unconditional love, the purest kind that makes the world a better place to live. All my love, Gary

I am so proud to call her my grandma. She treated me like one of her own and showed me the same love as her other grandchildren (Gary, Justin, and Shayna). I remembered she would always take me to my basketball games when Bruce would not be able to, take Shayna and I to summer camps when we were little, and the sleep overs at her house were the bomb because she would always make us baked goods! She also taught me how to play JUMBLE in the news papers, that was her favorite game. We would spend countless hours trying to finish the puzzle together, and I remembered clearly she would always help me finish the last piece of the puzzle so it seems like I am the one who completed the puzzle. Oh how time flies, I wish I can go back and replay the memories again just to see her one more time. We love and miss you so much grandma, you may be gone but GOD has his angel back now.

A warm grandmother, a loving mother, a beautiful soul, an open friend to so many.

I could never ask for a grandmother more loving and supportive than her. I could also never imagine my world without her. As life so harshly reminds us not to take it for granted, my heart breaks knowing she's no longer with us. Yet is full feeling how much life and love she brought us all. 

Fortunate is an understatement. The opportunities she paved and care she expressed for us has truly shaped who I am today. From beautiful summer camps in Vermont and hikes through the forests of New Hampshire to hot days in her Miami condo pool and schlepping us around Cape Coral between music lessons; she was there for us. Always. 

Memories of her sense of humor, quick wit,  and kind voice will stay with me forever. I'll never forget walking into her home where delicious meals would be waiting for us in the kitchen; games, puzzles and books, kept us curious; and our imaginations would turn into reality as she played with us — truly making them come to life. 

Grandma, you are so much of the light that shines in my life. I love you. I miss you. Always.

Lillian was a  true lady through and through with a beautiful heart of gold.  The most wonderful mother-in-law anyone could ask for. She was kind and warm and loving always and I’ve missed her many whispered words of encouragement and support.  She will live on in all of our memories. My heartfelt sympathy to Bruce, her family and friends.  RIP. 💔

So Long to my loving friend, Lillian Bobis Greenstein Saunders, with whom I shared many happy hours and together we remembered many yesteryears. Lillian was born and grew up in Brooklyn with her four older brothers and one older sister and mother and father. Her father died in 1944 in an industrial accident in the Brooklyn Naval Yard and at 18 she quit college and began work in offices in New York. She met her husband at a family party and they moved to Miami where they raised their three sons. Always with a smile on her face and love in her heart she kept her family together when her husband fell ill and after several years died. She went back to work, eventually becoming the Credit Manager for nineteen years of Southeast Periodicals, a very large distributor of newspapers, magazines, and paperback books. Her second husband was a customer whom she married in the middle 1990's  but he too fell ill and died. My wife, Minnie, and I met Lillian at my cousin Carol's home in Cape Coral around the year Two Thousand and we became and remained and will forever be close friends. Sleep forever in peace Dear Lillian.

Mom was loved by all who knew her.  Her kindness, caring, and forgiveness knew no boundaries. Mom always, always, always encouraged and believed in me. The nurturing never stopped.  Mom set the standard for how to be a great parent.

We gathered in Cape Coral for mom’s 90th birthday in February 2016. She was surrounded by friends and family from near and far. We all had a great evening celebrating the event and honoring her. As we were leaving, mom was walking to the car with me and Barbara.  She said, “Can I help pay for dinner?”.  It was just like her to offer – always wanting to help.

I was fortunate to have had Lillian in my life, she was kind genuine person! An amazing mother and an even more amazing grandmother to my children! 

She touched so many peoples hearts and made you smile just by being in the room. 

She will be missed heaven has gained another angel!

Lillian and I met in the Horizons Condominium in 1981. Not only were we great friends but we also enjoyed the ballroom  world. She loved to dance and was great at it.

Lillian was the most upbeat and positive person.. She always had encouraging words that would brighten your day.

She was a great mother and grandmother . Loved spending time with her family.

She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
