My deepest regard, respect, and sympathy go out to the Braunstein family, as I really took a liking to Maurice Braunstein and his lovely wife, Natalie.  Maurice reminded me of my grandfather for some reason ... my father's father ... the one born in Sicily ... perhaps because Maurice cut up and ate his fruit the way my grandfather did ... who knows ... but whatever it was, I can honestly say Maurice had fortitude and "character" - like my grandfather did - and he made a lasting impression on me.  God will always be with you and yours, Maurice ... that I know!

I am so sorry to hear that Moishe is gone.

I want to think that he is enjoying an egg cream with my Uncle Joe, and my mother Blanche, and May, and Grandpa Black somewhere better than Saratoga Avenue ever was. 

I want to think of his triumph of love on this earth. 

They will surely be happy to see him again in that place beyond our worries and cares....but we will forever miss him here on Earth. There will never be another like him, and we will never forget him.

What an amazing human being Mr. Braunstein was. His energy will be missed. I can still hear his laughter and I am so thankful for that, so thankful that I can recall the sound and emotions that surround that. Mrs. B, my thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

It's hard to pull off ball buster and genuine nice guy in one package and nobody did it better or for longer. A second father to me and a great grandpa to our kids, all his grandkids. My wife Stacey and I and our famly express our condolences to Maurice's family. he lived a full life and the world lost a true mensh this weekend.
