It is with great sadness we learned of Michael's passing - always a smiling, fun neighbour we watched as our children grew up together. Our hearts are with you, Marlene, Ryan and Ian.

Michael was married to my cousin Marlene.   As is the case with many families that live in separate cities these days, we saw each other mainly during holidays and sadly, funerals.  But, each time we were together Michael was always so engaging and robustful .  His warmth could always be felt..  What a terrific person.  God bless you, Mar and boys.            Sharon Summa Moore

I too was touched and blessed by Michael. He has been a bright light to me and I will remember him each time I look at the stars. I always felt his love for everyone and everything. He was special. While I have not seen/been in touch with Michael in a number of years, I have always considered him to be my friend.  Always smiling, always friendly, and always a great guy. Michael was a wonderful husband to my beautiful sister and a loving father to my precious nephews,Ian and Ryan. I met Marlene shortly before she and Michael became a couple. He was always warm and welcoming to me from the beginning. Our friendship grew and when I married in 1988, they attended our wedding in NY. We got together when Michael's business brought them up to NY and shared a lot of laughter over dinners. He had the biggest heart of anyone I know. If you needed him for advice or an ear, he was always there. I consider him and Marlene to be my extended family; they mean the world to me. Ian and Ryan had the best father that any kid could have had. He was always involved and busy with them even  when they were older. I can still hear his great laugh and see his smile. Impossible to close your eyes and picture Michael without seeing him laughing and smiling. The most good natured person I ever met. Miss you.

Losing Michael, his joy and happines, certainly leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him.  Thankfully, we will always have our happy memories of him.  Thank God for people like MIchael.

We were young once together in Akiba AZA. I will always remember Michael's smile, good humor, and warmth. He was a friend you could always rely on. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
