Palmetto graduates, especially the class of 1964, will miss Ron. There are genuinely kind persons in this world, and Ron was that and more. He was friendly, other-oriented, generous with his time, cheerful, and very effective in every endeavor he undertook. Ron, you’re the best for everymore!

Having Ron as a friend for over 60 years has been special. Ron has always been one of the most thoughtful, giving people I ever knew. I told him once he was probably the most successful person I ever met. Success is not measured in terms of money. Success is the lives you have affected and improved. I guess if you want a synonym for Mench, the best I can think of is Ronald S Lieberman

Ron was a genuine man who was always interested in others and how he could help. He will be missed.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Ron, our colleague and friend. He was a leader of our Palmetto High School Class of 1964, both as a journalist during high school and as an alumnus who kept us informed of one another’s happenings over the many years.  Along with others, Ron organized our reunions and in many ways was the glue who kept us together as alumni.  Ron and I sat adjacent to one another in homerooms 9-3 through 12-3, and we remained in touch over the years.  He was a leader in our South Florida community.  Well done, Ron, good and faithful servant! Thank you. Our condolences to Bunny and their family.  His memory is a blessing for us all.

Sixty plus years ago, Ron was Mr. Palmetto and has remained so in the minds and  hearts of his classmates right up to his recent passing. He served on the Student Council, was a multi-talented writer and news editor,  student campaign chairman and, of course, instrumental in keeping The Flame alive through his work on alumni association activities, together with a number of others.  Ron’s positive attitude, infectious smile and gentle laugh, will long be remembered by those of us fortunate enough to have been graced by his presence. Rest In Peace, dear friend.

Have known Ron since 8th grade, were best friends through high school at Palmetto, at the University of Miami and as adults. He visited us in Mexico City in the mid-1980's, came with Bunny to our daughter's wedding in Acapulco in 2003 which coincided with their November 22nd anniversary, and saw him often during our many visits to Miami and shared many a lunch or dinner.  Our heartfelt condolences to Bunny, his sister Barbara, daughter Jill and son Brian. Ron was the best!
