

Sheila Erstling, 82, of Tallahassee, passed away at home on Oct 2, 2017. Born on March 4, 1935, she was beloved and admired by a large extended family. After attending law school at the age of 55, Sheila worked as an attorney in the insurance division for the state of Florida. Prior to her law career, Sheila worked with her husband Mort in the cruise industry. She also held her real estate sales and brokers licenses. Sheila had an incredible zest for life and in her spare time became a master gardener. She loved to travel internationally, loved attending the theatre and other cultural events and played Mah Jong regularly with a group of friends. For the last several years she enjoyed doing mediation for the court system. As a loving, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, she was a wonderful role model for her daughters and granddaughters. She was cherished and will be missed by many. Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Morton Erstling, her parents Morton and Zelda Cohen Levine, her grandson Ethan Tucker and her brother Neal Levine. She is survived by her children Deana Erstling, Robin Tucker (Mike), Brenda Rollins (Mark), Michael Erstling (Kathy), and her sisters Yvette (Cookie) Sacks and Michele Ellis. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Allison Gohsman, Rachel Taquino, Joseph Rollins, Emma Tucker, Zoey Erstling, Anna Kate Erstling and Olivia Erstling; her great granddaughter, Lily Gohsman and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Graveside services will be held at Mount Nebo/Kendall Memorial Gardens in Miami, Florida on Oct. 13th at 2:30pm.
