Anita Kay Walter, 74, passed away on October 25, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Norfolk, VA and was a member of Central Baptist Church, Orange Park, FL. She trusted Christ as her Savior at an early age, and her love for the Lord was her inspiration. Her fondest memories include the Brown family farm, the summer garden, walking the fields, loving the cows, and riding their pony. Her earliest ambition was to be just like her dad. She loved to sing, fix hair and ride horses. Cars, animals, warm summer nights, and a night at the beach with her dad made her smile. She was a two year representative of MacArthur Academy at NATO Nations Azalea Cotillion in Norfolk, and was a cheerleader her senior year. She wore the mantle of motherhood with great pride, and worked tirelessly to fulfill all of its duties. Her proudest family moments included high school and college graduations and meeting her granddaughters. As a cosmetologist from 1967 to 2015, she passed the Virginia state boards in Richmond and continued her career as a Mary Kay beauty consultant for 17 years. She loved homeschooling, teaching Sunday School, and even taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Lawtey, FL. Her favorite pastimes were decorating her home and church at Christmas, sewing, embroidery, quilting and cross-stich.
