

Bobby "Bob" Dale Collins, age 87, of Fleming Island, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. He was born in Meadow Grove, Nebraska and was preceded in death by his brothers: Donald and Duane Collins and his sister Daphne Lewis.
Bob Collins attended school in Meadow Grove, NB where he excelled in football, baseball, and basketball. He met the love of his life in high school, DeVoe A. Fischer, they married and were together four months shy of seventy years. Bob Collins was a newspaperman from the day he graduated high school. His newspaper career took him and his family across the country (Columbus, NB, Gallup, NM, Lincoln, NB, Torrington, WY, Wahpeton, ND, Orange Park, FL, and Waukesha, WI). Bob lived in Wahpeton, ND for almost a decade where he was the editor of the Daily News and the County Press. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and in his community. Bob Collins enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Ottertail Lake with his family, fishing, and attending family functions. He ended his career selling real estate with Coldwell Banker in Fleming Island, FL.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, DeVoe A. Collins; his two sons: Greg D. Collins (Jane) and Richard C. Collins (Debra); two daughters: Christine D. Collins and Jacqueline J. Snyder; 10 grandchildren: Nathan Collins (Kristina), Adam Collins (Brittany), Grant Collins (Katherine), Logan Collins (Andrea), Sallie Doty (Benjamin), Cassie Malone (John), Katie Cooper (Gary), Kellie Henry (Christopher), Matthew Snyder, Michelle Shearin (Brian) and 16 great grandchildren: Owen Collins, Madeline Collins, Liam Collins, Kate Collins, John Collins, Lauren Collins, Thomas Collins, Theodore Collins, Eleanor Collins, Baylee Malone, Rylee Cooper, Aria Henry, Grayson Snyder, Brian Shearin Jr., Lucas Shearin and Piper Shearin.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM at Magnolia Cemetery, 1040 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
